Week of August 17-23

This past week was a great week for moving forward with the church. Sunday was spent with North Rock Hill Church helping them and learning from their church. Monday brought two great conversations with local ministries. Miracle Hill Rescue Mission and the Second Pres. Soup Kitchen of Spartanburg. Also a good conversation about a possible partnership with the PTA of a local Boiling Springs School. On Wednesday, Frank Wall and I (Ryan Bishop) went to the Soup Kitchen and served the homeless and needy of our area. I'm not much of an emotional person but when the first mama walked in with two small kids.... I just about lost it! Thursday and Friday was spent in Tennessee with a group from Cincinnati Ohio comparing notes, praying for each other, laughing (mostly at "two dudes billboard") and learning together. For those interested.... one day the sarcasm will return.
